 Colours that surround me

I wish them bright to be

Friendly, in hustle and bustling

warm, and not too dazzling

 

This is how I manipulate around

to trick myself

I paint shadows kaleidoscopic

banish trouble into rubbish bins

 

Life is serious all by itself

you don't have to be an accomplice for that

I would rather overcome gloom

like to shingle me for the beautiful

Farbenfroh

Farben, die mich umgeben

ich wünsche sie mir hell

Freundlich, im prallen Leben

warm, und nicht zu grell

 

So manipuliere ich herum

um mich selbst zu überlisten

Male mir die Schatten bunt

verbanne Ärger in Abfallkisten

 

Ernsthaft ist das Leben von allein

dazu muss man kein Komplize sein

Lieber will ich Düsternis überwinden

gerne mich fürs Schöne schinden
